JDA/RED PRAIRIE WMS QA

Location: ATLANTA, GEORGIA
Our client, a transportation and logistics company is seeking a JDA/Red Prairie WMS QA for its corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia.  

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility:
Manages the JDA/RedPrairie WMS QA team whose purpose is to perform QA testing both internally and with external customers at numerous checkpoints prior to go-live to ensure quality successful go-lives. The team also performs functional and regression testing on software changes to ensure we deliver a quality product to end-users. User support and documentation of testing and results are also essential outputs of the testing process.
 
Essential Functions:
1. Manage the enView QA Department and its staff.
2. Oversee the final analysis of functional specifications for new development and the test plans developed by the QA Team to test new development (this analysis is a means to transcribe the requirements into detailed test plans for the RP WMS)
3. Oversee testing milestones for the enView conversions to RP WMS (Config Testing, Dry Run, EDI Client testing)
4. Participate in Gap Analysis and AIWB meetings where unique business processes and potential development items are determined
5. Work closely with the enView Management team (BA/Config team and Training & Support team) for overall team approach for enView conversions
6. Work closely with various teams scheduling testing resources for system interface tests and solutions (EDI, Web, TMS, Development)
7. Promote the use of automated testing methodologies to ensure repeatable processes.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Additional Skills:
• 3-5 years managerial experience in a Manager or Supervisor role with direct reports.
• 5+ years of experience in technical fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 of those years with implementing, configuring and/or testing software applications functionality such as WMS, Distribution, Transportation, and Labor Management. JDA WMS and WFM is a plus. 
• Needs to be a first-class problem solver – Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. 
• Knowledge of transportation and warehouse industries.
• Familiar with quality assurance principles, inspection techniques and testing procedures
• Strong communications skills (written/verbal), with emphasis on demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts between business and technical groups. 
• Strong customer service orientation.
• 25-50% travel to assist with system implementations, may be required
• Experience with an enterprise automated testing tool is a bonus.
