Our client the leader in music management rights is seeking a BI Analytics Developer position.

Designs, develops, and executes business intelligence and analytics solutions and processes. Develops, implements, and utilizes innovative processes to efficiently, accurately, and securely deliver information for our internal business users, songwriters and publishers.

Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • Works with business stakeholders to identify, scope, and document analytics and business intelligence (BI) opportunities
  • Works with business stakeholders to document the business definition and logic for the key performance metrics of the company
  • Leverages all aspects of BI technologies and architecture such dashboards, OLAP and reporting tools
  • Recommends data integrates from various sources including internal and external sources
  • Manages and maintains the organization report catalog for all reporting requests and changes
  • Meets with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
  • Meets with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of reports
  • Analyzes data, designs and develops complex custom reports and dashboards using in-house reporting platform with little or no supervision
  • Validates report results against requirements for consistency and accuracy
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes data issues within reports
  • Communicates results to business staff to support business decisions
  • Supports BI and analytics standards for BMI including data sources and a data dictionary
  • Regularly updates management of development status

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing BI solutions using enterprise BI tools (experience with Power BI / SSAS / SSRS) is preferred)
  • Minimum two years experience developing and implementing BI and Analytics solutions in a SQL Server database environment (experience with Netezza, DB2, and an Oracle 11g/12g is a plus)
  • Minimum one years experience working with high volume data exchange and transaction processing systems, preferably in a custom software development environment
Skills and Abilities: This may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
  • Expert SQL development skills are required (T SQL is required)
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile Methodologies
  • Understanding of model driven development
  • Understanding of business intelligence and analytic best practices
  • Understanding of SQL Server RDBMS
  • Hands-on experience with design and development best practices
  • Proficient in working with technical and business teams to extract and document data integration/exchange requirements
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
