ASSOCIATE CATEGORY MANAGER

Location: BLOOMINGDALE, INDIANA
Our client, the world's largest tire and rubber company, is seeking a Associate Category Manager for its corporate office in Bloomingdale, IN. 
 
Qualifications Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline • Minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience• MBA preferred• Category management experience in an automotive and/or retail environment preferred• Operations experience a plus• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools• Proficiency in price modeling or marketing analytics software • Category Management Association Certification a plus

Responsibilities This position is currently located in Bloomingdale, IL however it will relocate to Nashville, TN in the fall of 2017.
 
• Executes tactics for assigned categories and related cross-functional communication and supports Category Leadership Planning process • Assists Category Manager in developing and executing tactics that support the initiatives developed within the Category Leadership Plans• Contributes to the execution of the strategies & initiative blueprints specific to the ongoing category needs in Service and Product Offering, Promotion Planning, Operational Training, and Customer Communication• Interacts with vendor Account Executive/Manager to manage tactical plans appropriately and ensure alignment of business goals and strategies• Partners with Retail Operations, Service Capabilities, Training, CRM, Digital, Promotions and Purchasing to ensure category needs are met• Maintains Category Scorecard and associated tracking methods with suppliers• Prepares line-of-sight analysis on Category performance (sales and gross profit)• Assists Category Manager in attaining the financial targets for assigned category • Collects, verifies, and analyzes data on industry market trends, supplier and consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service• Maintains and analyzes records of sales volume, revenues, and advertising costs• Forecasts areas where the sales performance of the product/service needs to be improved
