BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST-SAP FI-CO

Location: ATLANTA, GEORGIA
Our client, the largest provider of temperature controlled distribution services in the US, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst-SAP FI-CO to join their corporate office in Atlanta, GA area. 

Primary Responsibility: 
This position represents the IT department for the SAP financial and controlling systems (FI-CO) and is an expert in the application. The position is responsible for working with operational process owners to implement best practice processes, as well as continuously improve the processes in these functional areas. 
Essential Functions: 
1. Take a lead role in the planning, design, development, and deployment of SAP processes for FI-CO modules. 
2. Proactively supports the business processes with issue identification and resolution, and process optimization. 
3. Proactively analyze the evolving software capabilities to meet the business requirements and work with process owners to make software usage decisions. 
4. Leads cross-functional IT projects, managing project scope, budget, execution and closure. 
5. Support the end user community with user mentoring, process documentation, and end user training. 
6. Work with the process owners to maintain process documentation and training tools. 
7. Set IT priorities on behalf of the user community and acts as the financial systems advocate within IT. 
8. Work with other analysts and process owners to improve the entire process flow. 
9. Configure and test the software application as required to change and implement new processes. 
10. Develop functional specifications for reports, modifications, and extensions. 
11. Support all interfaces to the application for upgrades and problem resolution. 
12. Work directly with the software vendor and service providers for issue resolution and implementation of functionality. 
13. Present status and project plans as required to the IT and Accounting staff. 
14. Other duties as requested. 
Qualifications & Experience: 
Education, Training & Professional Experience: 
 High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred 
 5 years of experience supporting SAP accounting and financial systems including experience with ECC 6.0. Strong implementation and support experience in accounts receivables, credit management, accounts payables, asset management, cost element accounting, cash applications/banking, integration with SD and MM. Experience in general ledger accounting, profit center accounting, cost controlling and internal orders a plus. 
 Demonstrates an understanding of the best practice processes and issues relevant to SAP financial systems processes. 
 Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
