INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST

Location: ATLANTA, GEORGIA
Our Client, the largest provider of temperature controlled distribution services in the US, is seeking an 
experienced Information Security Analyst to join their team in Atlanta, GA (Sandy Springs area).

Primary Responsibility: Assist the Director of Information Security in maintaining a comprehensive, 

active and effective information security foundation for the services we provide to our customers. This 

involves auditing, monitoring, administration of technical controls, policies, and procedures to prevent, 

detect, and control security incidents. 

Essential Functions:

 Assists in defining, implementation and maintenance of information security standards, policies 

and procedures.

 Works closely with the various business units to identify security requirements, utilizing methods 

that include risk and business impact assessments 

 Assists in the development and implementation of measurable security metrics for projects and 

operations

 Communicates technology risk to business leaders in non-technical terms to ensure 

understanding of risk and available options for remediation

 Assists in the identification of potential internal and external threats and risks that could 

jeopardize the availability of IT systems, that include but not limited too;

o Assist in developing and reviewing secure O/S builds for all computing platforms

o Work with business units to implement systems and controls that prevent unauthorized 

access

o Global design and deployment of the IT security infrastructure, including management 

and analysis of security tools

 Assists in the implementation of mitigation strategies and compensating controls

 Prepares enterprise security awareness training plans

 Assists in forensic analysis, cyber-crime investigation, incident emergency response and 

investigations related to information security

 Develops effective working relationships with mid and senior level management throughout the 

company to obtain support and implementation of security policies and practices

 Translate regulatory requirements and standards to IT policies, controls and processes.

Required Experience:

Qualifications/Additional Skills:

Education, Training & Professional Experience:

 A four-year degree in Information Technology with an information security emphasis -

preferred, or equivalent relevant experience

 CISSP, CISA , Security + or equivalent certification desired

 3-5 years of information technology experience with 2-3 years of technical security experience

 Proven experience, clarity and courage to drive an agenda with the ability to influence without 

direct authority.

 General knowledge of information technology and related security issues.

 Ability to demonstrate a general knowledge of information security concepts ( malware, virus, 

threats, confidentiality)

 Knowledge of technical aspects of information security with in understanding of firewalls, IDS, 

HIDS, Content Filtering, Network hardening, Packet Inspection, and SEIM tools.

 Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, associated 

network protocols and concepts

Salary range: $75K - $85K
